Wednesday's game between the Cleveland Guardians and Chicago White Sox has been postponed due to multiple positive COVID-19 tests within the Guardians organization, the White Sox announced.
MLB "will provide a rescheduling update when it becomes available," the White Sox said.
Guardians manager Terry Francona is among those who tested positive.
The positive tests on the Guardians mostly involve coaches and traveling staff, sources told ESPN's Jesse Rogers. Cleveland would have been short on coaches if the team tried to play Wednesday.
Guardians players Owen Miller, Cal Quantrill, Yu Chang, and Anthony Castro have already been on the COVID-19 injured list this season.
This is the first game postponed due to COVID-19 during the 2022 campaign.
