The Toronto Blue Jays reinstated All-Star outfielder Teoscar Hernandez from the 10-day injured list after he recovered from an oblique injury, the club announced Saturday.
Manager Charlie Montoyo said Hernandez will play outfield in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, according to Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.
The two-time Silver Slugger hasn't played since suffering the injury in a game on April 13.
The Blue Jays' potent lineup struggled without Hernandez, ranking 13th in the majors with a 2.6 offensive rating, according to FanGraphs. The club also sits near the bottom for batting average with runners in scoring position.
