Miguel Andujar doesn't want to play for the New York Yankees anymore.
The 2018 AL Rookie of the Year runner-up requested a trade from the club, a source told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
This reportedly isn't the first time Andujar has asked the team to deal him due to a lack of consistent playing time.
The 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .268/.279/.317 with zero homers and three RBIs over 12 games for New York this season. The Yankees optioned him to the minors Friday.
Andujar's best season came in 2018 when he went deep 27 times with 97 RBIs while owning a .855 OPS over 149 contests. Since his rookie campaign, he's played in just 90 games due to injuries and underperformance at the major-league level.
