Former New York Mets general manager Zack Scott was found not guilty of driving while intoxicated Thursday in a White Plains, New York, court following his DWI arrest in late August, according to Tim Britton of The Athletic.
Scott was also found not guilty of the lesser charge of driving while ability impaired. However, he was found guilty of stopping on a highway and disobeying a traffic control device, which are both traffic violations.
"I am thankful for today's verdict," Scott said in a statement. "Nonetheless, I regret choices I made on August 31, resulting in circumstances that led to my arrest."
The Mets placed Scott on administrative leave in September after the incident and fired the 45-year-old executive in November.
New York has since replaced Scott with Billy Eppler.
