The market for starting pitchers continues to heat up early in the offseason.

The Cincinnati Reds are open to discussing a deal involving right-hander Sonny Gray, according to Buster Olney of ESPN, who adds the club has no interest in moving starters Tyler Mahle and Luis Castillo.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Orioles placed left-hander John Means on the trade block, reports Olney.

Gray, a two-time All-Star, posted a 3.49 ERA with a 10.6 K/9 over his last three seasons with the Reds, while Means - a former All-Star, too - authored a 3.82 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in four years with the Orioles.

The 32-year-old Gray is owed $10.2 million in 2022 and has a $12-million club option for 2023. Means, 28, is arbitration-eligible through the 2024 campaign.
