New York Mets owner Steve Cohen is using social media to call out an anonymous source who's speaking against his club.

Cohen said Thursday that David Samson, the ex-Miami Marlins president, is the "former MLB executive" who was critical of the Mets Wednesday in the New York Post.

In the Post's story, an unnamed former executive told Mike Puma, "in one year the value of the team has gone backward significantly," and "they had these two hires, and it looks like they are in disarray." The two hires the source is referring to are former general manager Jared Porter and his replacement Zack Scott.

Porter was fired in January after reportedly sending unsolicited explicit texts to a female reporter. Scott, meanwhile, is facing DWI charges following his arrest on Aug. 31.

Samson denies being the anonymous source, and Puma also tweeted that Cohen's claim isn't true.

This isn't the first time Cohen has used social media to address a problem concerning the Mets. The billionaire recently called out Javier Baez haters on Twitter, which came three weeks after questioning his team's approach at the plate.

He's also addressed the thumbs-down gesture from Baez and Francisco Lindor, and asked fans to help him decide the right time to make a trade before the deadline in July.
