The Toronto Blue Jays acquired veteran reliever Joakim Soria from the Arizona Diamondbacks, the club announced Friday afternoon.
The Diamondbacks will receive two players to be named later.
Soria, 37, adds another veteran arm with postseason experience to a Blue Jays bullpen that's struggled all season. The 14-year veteran owns a 4.30 ERA, 3.74 FIP, and 1.33 WHIP with 31 strikeouts and eight walks across 29 1/3 innings this year.
