Padres pulled kids into dugout during shooting near Nationals Park
Fernando Tatis Jr., Manny Machado, and Wil Myers rushed to get children out of the stands and into the San Diego Padres' dugout during a game against the Washington Nationals Saturday while a shooting happened outside Nationals Park.

Taits said he was protecting his teammates' families that were in attendance.
"There were little kids. I felt like somebody needed to go get them," Tatis said Sunday, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee.
The 22-year-old acknowledged a situation like that is bigger than baseball.
"There’s no longer players, fans. Everybody's just people, just human beings out there," Tatis said, according to MLB.com's AJ Cassavell.
After the game was suspended, Tatis tweeted he was thinking of everybody involved in the incident.
