The New York Mets and outfielder Kevin Pillar agreed to a one-year contract, a source told Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.
Pillar's pact will guarantee him $5 million in 2021, and he could potentially get up to $5 million in 2022, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

So Pillar either gets 1/$5M, 2/$6.5M or 2/$10M depending on the option. Mets’ CBT hit this year will be $3.25M.
The 32-year-old will reportedly join a Mets outfield that already includes Michael Conforto, Brandon Nimmo, Dominic Smith, and Albert Almora Jr.
Pillar slashed .288/.336/.462 with six home runs and 26 RBIs over 54 games while playing for the Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies in 2020.
The reported addition of Pillar is the latest move during what has been a busy offseason for New York. The club has already added Francisco Lindor, Carlos Carrasco, James McCann, Trevor May, Jonathan Villar, and Joey Lucchesi.
