Six-time All-Star Ryan Braun doesn't plan on suiting up for the 2021 season - at least not right now.
"I'm continuing to work out and stay in shape, but I'm not currently interested in playing," Braun said, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. "I am enjoying my family and focused on other business interests for now but appreciate the interest I've received and will continue to regularly stay in touch with the Brewers."
Braun, 37, has spent his entire 14-year career with the Milwaukee Brewers. The outfielder said in late September that he wasn't sure if he wanted to play in 2021 despite having no physical issues.
The 2011 NL MVP became a free agent when the Brewers declined to pick up his $15-million mutual option.
Braun is the Brewers' all-time leader in home runs with 352. He owns a career .296/.358/.532 slash line with 1,154 RBIs, five Silver Slugger awards, and a 2007 Rookie of the Year honor.
