The Philadelphia Phillies agreed to a one-year, $3-million deal with left-hander Matt Moore, sources told The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal.
Moore's deal reportedly includes performance bonuses and is pending a physical.
The 31-year-old spent the 2020 campaign with Japan's Fukuoka Softbank Hawks, authoring a 6-3 record with a 2.65 ERA in 78 innings.
He's expected to compete for a role in the rotation on a Phillies team that didn't receive a start from a left-handed pitcher last season.
Moore made two starts for the Detroit Tigers in 2019. He didn't allow a run and struck out nine over 10 innings before undergoing season-ending surgery for a meniscus tear in his right knee.
From 2011-19, the former 17-game winner posted a 54-56 record with a 4.51 ERA and 4.32 FIP in 181 MLB appearances, with 151 of those being starts.
