Los Angeles Dodgers fans are going to have to wait to celebrate with their team.
The Dodgers have postponed their World Series championship parade due to the ongoing health pandemic, the team announced on Wednesday.
"While the wait for a World Championship is finally over, a celebration worthy of our great fans and the City of Los Angeles will unfortunately have to wait until it is safe to do so," the statement read.
A potential parade date has not been scheduled, with 1,586 new COVID-19 cases being reported in the area on Tuesday, according to County of Los Angeles Public Health.
Los Angeles won its first World Series title since 1988 after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.
