Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk wants to see Trevor Bauer pitch north of the border on a more permanent basis.
Grichuk was campaigning for the right-hander to join the Canadian baseball team during a Twitter exchange on Tuesday, but might not have received the reply he was hoping for.
Blue Jays fans famously laid into the 29-year-old during Game 3 of the 2016 American League Championship Series against the Cleveland Indians after a finger injury suffered during a drone accident forced him to leave his start.
Bauer, who is a free agent this offseason, has since become one of MLB's best pitchers and is a favorite to win the National League Cy Young award after a dominating season with the Cincinnati Reds.
