Miami Marlins outfielder Starling Marte won't be available for the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves after the team announced its roster Tuesday.
The 31-year-old's status for the series was uncertain after he fractured a bone in his left hand during the wild-card series against the Chicago Cubs.
Marte is on the taxi squad, which means he'll be allowed to participate in team workouts and could be added to the roster as an injury replacement.
The two-time Gold Glove winner was acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks at the trade deadline.
He hit four home runs with 13 RBIs and stole five bases for the Marlins in 28 games.
Magneuris Sierra will start in center field for Miami with Marte unavailable.
