Watch: Boone unleashes flurry of F-bombs on ump after 1st-inning ejection

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 25: Manager Aaron Boone #17 of the New York Yankees exchanges words with umpire John Tumpane #74 during the first inning against the Miami Marlins at Yankee Stadium on September 25, 2020 in the Bronx borough of New York City.

New York Yankees Aaron Boone wasted no time in getting under home-plate umpire John Tumpane's skin Friday.

Moments after the visiting Miami Marlins opened the top of the first inning by hanging three runs on Yankees starter J.A. Happ, Boone was ejected by Tumpane for arguing a series of low strike calls from the dugout. That sent the skipper into a fiery, foul-mouthed rage on the field, as he yelled at Tumpane to, among other things, "get it the fuck together" before retreating to the showers.

Perhaps Boone was trying to light a spark in his Yankees squad after Happ allowed the first-inning runs. The team entered Friday holding onto second place in the AL East despite dropping three of four games to the Toronto Blue Jays in Buffalo earlier this week.
