The New York Mets placed outfielder Michael Conforto on the injured list with hamstring tightness on Thursday, the team announced, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.
The move means Conforto's season is over.
He was hitting .322/.412/.515 with nine home runs and 31 RBIs for the Mets, who are still alive in the National League postseason race.
New York's starting outfield will feature Jeff McNeil, Dominic Smith, and Guillermo Heredia for Thursday's game against the Washington Nationals.
Infielder Luis Guillorme was recalled to replace Conforto.
