The Atlanta Braves placed second baseman Ozzie Albies on the 10-day injured list with a right wrist bone contusion, the club announced Wednesday.
Albies, a Silver Slugger Award winner in 2019, has one home run with a .468 OPS in 11 games this season.
The club also put infielder Matt Adams on the 10-day IL with a strained left hamstring.
Atlanta lost Mike Soroka to an Achilles tendon injury Monday that will keep the All-Star pitcher sidelined for the rest of the season.
In a pair of corresponding moves, catcher Alex Jackson was recalled and outfielder Nick Markakis was reinstated from the restricted list.
Markakis is returning to the Braves after originally opting out of the 2020 campaign to due health concerns.
