Keuchel: You 'want to fight' Tim Anderson when you play him
Chicago White Sox left-hander Dallas Keuchel believes that Tim Anderson's ability to get under the opposition's skin is a good quality to have as a baseball player.
"When you play against him, you kind of want to fight him all the time," Keuchel said when asked about his teammate Wednesday, according to Adam Hoge of NBC Sports Chicago.
Keuchel added: "That's not necessarily a bad thing, because you see the passion he plays with, you see how much he loves the game. It definitely gets under your skin, which can help him."
Anderson has rubbed some players the wrong way in the past due to his on-field exuberance - which has included demonstrative bat flips - as well as his outspoken opinions in the locker room.
Keuchel, who signed with the White Sox as a free agent last December, admitted that his perspective of last year's American League batting champion has changed since joining the team.
"He's definitely misunderstood," Keuchel said.
