Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred said Monday that he's no longer confident a 2020 season will take place, and players aren't happy.

Manfred's comments represent a stark turnaround after he insisted five days ago that he was "100 percent" certain baseball would be played this year.

Players quickly took to social media to express their feelings about his change of heart.

Cincinnati Reds right-hander Trevor Bauer was especially critical of Manfred's comments. He blasted the commissioner's tactics in a long thread on Twitter, saying Manfred was "holding a losing hand."
