Sabathia shares image connecting Floyd's death to history of lynchings

CC Sabathia has been outspoken through social media since George Floyd died while in police custody, and the retired pitcher delivered one of his most powerful statements on Wednesday.

The 39-year-old posted a graphic image on Instagram comparing Floyd's death to a lynching, which was accompanied by the words "Same Story. Different time."

Sabathia has made several posts about Floyd's death since it occurred on May 25, and he recently participated in a protest against systemic racism at Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn, along with his family.
