Rays host, pay for couple's wedding after coronavirus disrupts plans
The Tampa Bay Rays made the dreams of an area couple come true on Saturday by hosting and paying for their wedding at Tropicana Field.

Ashley Hill and Ronald White lost the venue for their wedding due to the coronavirus outbreak, and Hill emailed the Rays at the end of April asking if one of their facilities could host the event, according to John Romano of the Tampa Bay Times.
Hill's email eventually reached Rays president Brian Auld, who determined last week that it would be possible to hold the event at Tropicana Field and told the couple that the Rays would cover all the costs.
Hill and White were married Saturday in front of 18 friends and family members spread around the field in a socially distanced fashion.
The dome was lit purple to match Hill's bouquet, and the couple received video messages from Kevin Kiermaier and Austin Meadows.
