When "The Last Dance" is over, get ready for Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa to take the floor.

ESPN's "Long Gone Summer," a documentary focused on the 1998 record-breaking home run race between McGwire and Sosa, will begin airing June 14, the broadcasters announced Tuesday.

The documentary feature was an official selection of the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival and was originally expected to air later in the summer. However, just as "The Last Dance" had its release date moved up due to the coronavirus, as did "Long Gone Summer."

McGwire and Sosa helped rekindle interest in Major League Baseball following the 1994 strike. Both sluggers wound up breaking Roger Maris' record of 61 homers in the summer of 1998, but were later embroiled in cheating scandals for their use of performance-enhancing drugs.

While Michael Jordan and the dynastic Chicago Bulls warranted a 10-part docuseries, "Long Gone Summer" will be one part, like the majority of 30-for-30s.

On top of releasing the story on the polarizing sluggers, documentaries on Lance Armstrong ("LANCE") and Bruce Lee ("Be Water") will also air sooner than expected. "LANCE" will be a two-part series that begins airing May 24 and "Be Water" is scheduled for June 7.
