MLB's streaming feature for Friday took us back to Aug. 12, 2018, for a game at Wrigley Field between the Chicago Cubs and Washington Nationals.
The Cubs were down 3-0 with one out in the bottom of the ninth and facing Washington Nationals reliever Ryan Madson. Jason Heyward got on base thanks to an infield single before Madson hit Albert Almora Jr. with a pitch. Madson registered another out but then proceeded to hit his second batter of the inning when he plunked Willson Contreras. With the bases loaded and two out, the stage was set for pinch hitter David Bote to play the hero.
