MLB top 100 prospect composite rankings

Prospect lists from the five major publications - MLB Pipeline, Baseball America, Baseball Prospectus, FanGraphs, and The Athletic - are now out ahead of the 2020 season, and that means it's time to create our composite prospect rankings.

By combining all five lists and assigning even weights to each, we made a composite ranking of the 144 different minor leaguers mentioned. What follows is the top 100 from those lists.

In instances when there was a tie, the higher position was given to the player who appears on more lists. If the two players appeared on the same amount of lists, the player with the highest grading on any of the lists was ranked higher.

Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of places the five lists differ. However, there's one area of agreement: Tampa Bay Rays teenage phenom Wander Franco is in a class of his own.
