Report: MLB holding 2020 draft days before CWS, moves location to Omaha
The 2020 MLB Draft is moving from Secaucus, New Jersey, to Omaha, Nebraska, and will be held from June 10-12, according to Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball.com.
The reported change in date removes any conflict between the draft and the NCAA playoffs, according to Rogers, as next year's College World Series starts June 13 in Omaha. The moves could also help with prospect attendance for the draft.
This is a good idea. Some of the best college players will be there already, and some of the best high school prospects will want to take the trip to Omaha to take in the College World Series. https://t.co/YM7D8Tdw80

The 2019 draft took place from June 3-5. Last year's NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament started May 31, while the 2019 College World Series began June 15.
