Parra agrees to deal with Japan's Yomiuri Giants

Gerardo Parra is bringing "Baby Shark" to Japan.

The outfielder has agreed to a deal with the Yomiuri Giants of Nippon Professional Baseball, the team announced, according to MLB.com.

Parra's deal is for one year and includes $2 million in guarantees, $500,000 in bonuses, and a $3-million vesting option, according to ESPN Deportes' Jose F. Rivera.

The 32-year-old Parra became a fan favorite in Washington during the Nationals' World Series run thanks to his "Baby Shark" walk-up song and positive contributions to the team's clubhouse.

Parra hit .234/.293/.391 with nine home runs and 48 RBIs in 119 games with the Nationals and San Francisco Giants last season.
