Colorado Rockies right-hander Jeff Hoffman was carted off the field Tuesday after being struck on the knee by a line drive off the bat of San Francisco Giants outfielder Alex Dickerson in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The comebacker that hit Hoffman traveled 99 mph, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area.

The Rockies tweeted a message for Hoffman following the injury.

Hoffman, 26, owns a 6.78 ERA in 65 innings (14 starts) for Colorado this season.
