A man who claims Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were passengers in a vehicle that struck him behind a Los Angeles restaurant in October 2018 is suing the couple, according to documents TMZ obtained.
In the documents, Liyanage Perera claims he was walking behind an eatery off of Melrose Ave. when an SUV containing the star couple hit him. He did say that a member of the couple's security team was behind the wheel, but also pointed out that no one stopped to check on him, TMZ adds.
Perera claims he was seriously injured during the incident and is seeking coverage for his medical expenses, plus damages. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
No charges were filed at the time of the incident, according to TMZ.
Rodriguez and Lopez began dating in 2017 and became engaged in March.
