Soto joins elite company by reaching 50 HRs before age 21

Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto is enjoying one of the greatest starts to a career in baseball history.

The 20-year-old set multiple records Sunday by mashing two home runs against the Milwaukee Brewers.

It's the fifth multi-homer game of Soto's young career, moving him into a tie with Hall of Fame slugger Mel Ott for the most by a player before turning 21.

The two blasts gave Soto 50 career home runs, making him only the third player in baseball history to reach that mark before his 21st birthday. Ott (61) and Tony Conigliaro (56) are the others, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Soto is hitting .287/.399/.555 with 28 homers and 83 RBIs this season.
