Aristides Aquino is unstoppable right now.
The Cincinnati Reds rookie continued a red-hot start to his major-league career against the Washington Nationals on Monday, smashing his eighth home run. The outfielder became the first player in MLB history to hit eight home runs over his first 12 MLB games.
While the Reds' broadcast said the homer was Aquino's eighth in 11 games, the 25-year-old's career actually began with one plate appearance in 2018.
Aquino tied Trevor Story's MLB record last week by recording seven homers in his first 10 contests.
