Right-hander Aaron Sanchez tossed six no-hit innings in his debut for the Houston Astros against the Seattle Mariners on Saturday.
Sanchez exited after throwing 92 pitches, walking two and striking out six. He was replaced by Will Harris.
He's the first pitcher to throw six-plus innings and not allow a hit in a debut following a midseason trade since Greg Maddux accomplished the feat with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Aug. 3, 2006, according to Stats by STATS.
The 27-year-old was acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays at the trade deadline with Joe Biagini and prospect Cal Stevenson in exchange for Derek Fisher.
Sanchez entered Saturday's contest leading the majors in losses with 14.
