New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman has never shied away from making a deal at the trade deadline, but he won't be doing business with his team's archrival.

With the July 31 trade deadline around the corner and the Yankees expected to upgrade their roster, Cashman admitted he's "fully engaged with every team except the Boston Red Sox," according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.

New York and Boston haven't made a trade since July 31, 2014, when the Red Sox traded Stephen Drew and cash to the Yankees for Kelly Johnson. Since 1994, the two rivals have been involved in three transactions together.

Cashman said he's fine doing business with the crosstown Mets, according to Newsday's David Lennon, though the trade history between the two New York clubs is scarce as well.

The GM, who will be at Fenway Park on Friday for the second contest of a four-game series between the Yankees and Red Sox, admitted he's on the hunt for upgrades to both the starting rotation and bullpen, according to the Bergen Record's Pete Caldera.

He added there are no untouchables in the Yankees' minor-league system, although some players are more realistic targets than others, according to Caldera.

New York has been tied to a number of players leading up to the deadline, including pitchers Marcus Stroman, Madison Bumgarner, Robbie Ray, and Zack Wheeler.
