Report: Red Sox eyeing Blue Jays' Hudson
Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Daniel Hudson is drawing trade interest from multiple teams, including the rival Boston Red Sox, a source told Jon Morosi of MLB Network.
The Red Sox were one of the clubs evaluating the 32-year-old in recent days, Morosi notes.
Hudson is putting together a solid campaign for a rebuilding Blue Jays team. The veteran reliever has recorded a 2.72 ERA with 42 strikeouts in 43 innings. In his last 16 outings, he's posted a microscopic 0.93 ERA.
During a 10-year career, Hudson has also suited up for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Chicago White Sox. He's slated to hit free agency again following the 2019 season.
Boston's bullpen ranks ninth out of 15 American League teams with a 4.54 ERA.
