Bregman suffers chin laceration after taking ground ball off face

Houston Astros infielder Alex Bregman left Thursday's game against the Texas Rangers after taking a ground ball off his face in the third inning.
The Astros diagnosed the 25-year-old with a lacerated chin, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.

Astros manager A.J. Hinch disclosed postgame that Bregman needed four stitches to his chin.
"He was bleeding when I got out there," Hinch said. "(The ball) took a really nasty hop for him, so we'll see how he is."
The two-time All-Star entered the game with a .927 OPS and 23 home runs for the AL West-leading Astros.
