The New York Yankees and slugger Giancarlo Stanton appear to have caught a break with regards to his knee injury.
The Yankees outfielder underwent an MRI on Wednesday that revealed "no new injury" and no swelling, manager Aaron Boone said, according to The Athletic's Lindsey Adler.
Stanton hurt himself sliding into third base during the third inning of Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Stanton's knee is apparently sore and stiff, but it doesn't appear he'll require a trip to the injured list.
"Nothing as far as any (IL) moves or anything like that," Boone added. "Just seeing how the next couple hours unfold and even the next couple days."
The four-time All-Star had rejoined New York on June 18 following a lengthy stint on the injured list due to a left biceps tear, a left shoulder strain, and a left calf strain. Wednesday was only his ninth game of the season.
However, Stanton had looked good in recent days, with a home run and seven RBI across the previous two contests for the AL East-leading Yankees.
