Cleveland Indians rookie Zach Plesac was greeted with a kind gesture from an opponent on Tuesday following his first career start.
After holding the Boston Red Sox to four hits and one earned run during his major-league debut, a note from opposing pitcher David Price was waiting for Plesac at his locker, according to MLB.com's Jessica Camerato.
"(Price) told me, 'Congrats on your debut. Good luck, kid,'" Plesac said. "It's motivating. It means everything, really. It humbles me too at the same time.
"I'm sure he's just being the vet he is, taking care of the rookie here pitching my first game at Fenway," Plesac added. "It was a class act. If he sees this, tell him I said 'Thank you.'"
The 24-year-old nephew of former big-league pitcher Dan Plesac also received some advice from his uncle before making his debut.

Uncle Plesac's advice worked, as Zach pitched well Tuesday, battling through a 69-minute rain delay to keep the Indians in a game they eventually won 7-5.
