The Oakland Athletics agreed to a one-year contract with free-agent outfielder Robbie Grossman, a source told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
The deal is reportedly expected to pay Grossman approximately $2 million in guaranteed money and will also include incentive clauses, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Grossman, a switch-hitter who spent time at DH and both corner-outfield spots with the Minnesota Twins last season, hit .273 with a .751 OPS, five homers, 27 doubles, and 48 RBIs across 465 plate appearances. His .367 on-base percentage led all Twins hitters in 2018.
However, the 29-year-old was non-tendered by Minnesota in November.
In Oakland, Grossman will likely compete for playing time with Nick Martini and Stephen Piscotty at the corner outfield spots.
He owns a career .256/.355/.378 slash line across parts of six big-league seasons with the Twins and Houston Astros.
