The baseball that Jose Bautista crushed off the second deck at the Rogers Centre in Game 5 of the 2015 ALDS against the Texas Rangers fetched more than $28,000 in an auction.
According to the Lelands Auction House's website, the ball officially went for $28,252.80 after bidding ended on Friday night.
The bidding started on Jan. 4 and the opening price was $3,500. Lelands states that 17 bids were made.
Bautista's seventh-inning home run, which he celebrated with the now-iconic bat flip, put the Toronto Blue Jays up for good in the best-of-five series. Toronto trailed after losing the first two games before storming back to advance to the ALCS.
