The Philadelphia Phillies are taking a close look at one of free agency's top starting pitchers.
On Tuesday, left-hander Patrick Corbin visited the team at Citizens Bank Park, according to Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philly, who added that the southpaw is high on Philadelphia's wish list.

Corbin's visit aligns with a recent report that said the Phillies would pursue major free agents before Bryce Harper and Manny Machado - whom they're also interested in - make decisions.
The 29-year-old Corbin's been one of the most talked-about free agents on the market following an All-Star campaign with the Arizona Diamondbacks. In 200 innings, he finished with a 3.15 ERA and a career-high 246 strikeouts.
Philadelphia's prepared to "be a little bit stupid" about the money it spends in free agency this offseason, according to its ownership, and with less than $70 million committed to 2019 payroll (not including arbitration figures), the team's in a good position to acquire top talent.
Along with Corbin, Harper, and Machado, the Phillies are reportedly also considering pitchers Nathan Eovaldi and J.A. Happ, closers Craig Kimbrel and Zach Britton, and outfielders Michael Brantley and A.J. Pollock.
