Enrique Hernandez was not happy with how the Los Angeles Dodgers played during Monday's 4-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, nor with how Dodgers fans supported the home team during the Game 3 defeat.
"We had no energy," Hernandez said, according to Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times. "The stadium had no energy. The fans had no energy. Overall, it was a pretty bad game for everybody who calls themselves Dodgers."
L.A. finds itself down two games to one in the National League Championship Series after the shutout. Hernandez, who went 0-for-2 with a walk, didn't mince words when doling out blame.
"It was a playoff game, and it didn't feel like a playoff game," he added. "Not just because of the fans, but because of how we were playing the game ... We sucked. That's why we lost."
Hernandez also took issue with the crowd's treatment of catcher Yasmani Grandal, who was booed during the game after a passed ball scored a run for the Brewers.
"If they think they can do it, go ahead, put on your gear, and go catch 99 with breaking balls that have a lot of movement," Hernandez said, according to Alden Gonzalez of ESPN. "He's been one of the best catchers in the game for a while now. He's having a bit of a rough patch."
The Dodgers will look to rebound on Tuesday. Game 4 is scheduled for 9:09 p.m. ET.
