In his first Midsummer Classic, Alex Bregman was the biggest star of all.
The Houston Astros third baseman won the 2018 All-Star Game Ted Williams Most Valuable Player award after hitting a key 10th-inning home run to help lift the American League to an 8-6 victory.
Shortly after the National League's Scooter Gennett tied things up in the ninth, Bregman led off the 10th with the go-ahead homer off Ross Stripling. His Astros teammate George Springer followed with a homer of his own that iced the Junior Circuit's victory.
Bregman is the first Astros player to be named All-Star Game MVP.
