The Bronx Bombers have slugged their way into baseball's record books again.

Greg Bird's grand slam on Wednesday night was the New York Yankees' 152nd home run of the season, a total that moves them past the 1999 Seattle Mariners for the most pre-All-Star break homers in baseball history.

Tyler Wade and Austin Romine added homers later in the game, upping the Yankees' first-half homer total to 154.

New York's power has been spread around its batting order throughout the first half. As a team, the Yankees came into Wednesday's game owning a .461 slugging percentage that ranks second in the majors, and they've hit 24 more homers than the second-place Red Sox.

Individually, Aaron Judge leads his team with 25 big flies, while Giancarlo Stanton is close behind at 22. Among the Yankees' regular starters, only Bird and Brett Gardner (seven each) have yet to reach the 10-homer mark.

The Yankees have now hit a home run in 73 of their 91 games this season.
