The Boston Red Sox will be without catcher Christian Vazquez for six-to-eight weeks after he undergoes surgery on Tuesday to repair his fractured finger, according to Evan Drellich of NBCSBoston.
Manager Alex Cora said he's comfortable with Sandy Leon and Blake Swihart as his options behind the plate.
Vazquez fractured the pinkie finger in his right hand while sliding into second base during Saturday's game against the Kansas City Royals. He was later placed on the disabled list.

The recovery timeline suggests he'll be able to return to the lineup in late August or early September.
The 27-year-old was batting .213/.249/.300 with three home runs in 60 games before his injury.
