Kyle Seager has put his foot down - he's playing.

The Seattle Mariners third baseman revealed Friday that he fractured a toe earlier this week, but said he has no plans to come out of the lineup as a result.

"It's not a big deal," Seager said Friday, according to Adam Jude of the Seattle Times. "It's not that bad."

Seager likely suffered the injury during Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles when he fouled a ball off his left foot. He not only finished that contest, but managed to hit the game-tying homer in the ninth inning, only finding out about the injury thanks to a postgame X-ray.

The exact injury Seager suffered was an avulsion fracture in one of his toes. It's the same injury that sent his teammate Dee Gordon to the DL earlier this season. Manager Scott Servais said Seager will be able to stay on the field through his injury by wearing custom orthotics.

Incredibly, Seager's been on something of a mini-tear since the injury occurred. Including his four at-bats Wednesday after the injury occurred, he's hitting .571 (4-for-7) with two walks and zero strikeouts while playing with a fractured toe.

The 30-year-old has appeared in all but one of Seattle's 83 games this season, and owns a .231/.284/.434 slash line with 15 homers, 20 doubles, and 49 RBIs.
