The boys of summer are struggling to live up to their name.
As Chicago deals with frigid temperatures - coupled with an underwhelming White Sox team and arguably an even worse visitor in the Tampa Bay Rays - a grand total of 974 people actually attended Monday's game, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

That number differs greatly from the official attendance, which is listed as 10,069, as many people bought tickets but did not actually come into the stadium.
Only three other teams have posted a worse official average attendance number so far this season - the Miami Marlins (14,443), Oakland Athletics (15,212), and Pittsburgh Pirates (16,134), with the White Sox coming in just ahead (17,862).
