The New York Mets placed catcher Travis d'Arnaud on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday with a partially torn right UCL, according to The Athletic's Tim Britton.
Surgery is possible for the 29-year-old, who's had a history of health problems.
A decision on surgery will be made in the coming days, according to Tim Healey of Newsday.
Tommy John surgery, which normally takes at least a year from which to recover, is the most common surgery associated with UCL tears.

D'Arnaud was splitting catching duties with Kevin Plawecki, and is hitting .200/.250/.400 with one home run and three RBIs in four games.
In a corresponding move, the Mets recalled catching prospect Tomas Nido from Double-A Binghamton.
