The New York Yankees announced Wednesday that they've traded outfielder Jabari Blash to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Blash never appeared in a game for the Yankees. He came to the organization from the San Diego Padres in the December trade for Chase Headley and Bryan Mitchell.

The 28-year-old debuted for the Padres in 2016 and hasn't done much at the big-league level since. In 99 career games, he owns a .200/.323/.336 slash line with eight home runs and 21 RBIs.

He did post a 1.036 OPS with 20 home runs, 16 doubles, and 62 RBIs in 72 games for Triple-A El Paso last season.
