Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco was recently suspended by his Dominican Winter League club, Gigantes del Cibao, for violating team policy.

Franco and teammates Eduardo de Oleo, Moises Sierra, and Garabez Rosa were photographed while partying until 6 a.m. on game day, according to ESPN 97.3 FM.

Their club was set to play a playoff game at 4 p.m. local time, but it was rained out.

After Franco issued an apology, the suspensions for all of the players involved were lifted.

"I apologize to the team, the fans, and our sponsors. It is not something that will happen again," Franco told ESPN Deportes, according to the 97.3 FM report.

The 25-year-old was hitting .200 in the playoff series after recording a .230/.281/.409 line with 24 home runs and 76 RBIs in the big leagues in 2017.
