Mookie Betts is officially a two-sport superstar.
The Boston Red Sox outfielder won his second straight Gold Glove this week, and he celebrated with perfection in his other sport of choice: bowling. On Sunday, the 25-year-old bowled a perfect game in his qualifying round for the World Series of Bowling in Reno, Nev.
After achieving perfection, Betts casually told the PBA broadcasters that it was "maybe" his 10th perfect game, though he immediately called Sunday's his "most important" perfecto.
According to Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe, this was Betts' first time bowling a perfect game in a PBA competition.
Betts and Cy Young are the only two Red Sox players to have "perfect games" while employed by the storied baseball team - though we seriously doubt ol' Cy could match Mookie on the lanes for 10 frames.
