Los Angeles Dodgers starter Yu Darvish says Houston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel offered to meet in person following Game 3 to apologize for the racially insensitive gesture he made in the dugout the game prior.

"After the game like he contacted us and said, 'Hey, I'd like to meet you in person and apologize,' but I told him, 'Hey, you don't have to do that, because you made a comment, and, like, I'm not that mad,'" Darvish told reporters, according to ASAP Sports. "So like I really didn't care much about that."

In Game 2, Gurriel mocked Darvish shortly after hitting a home run off the Dodgers starter. Following Houston's 5-3 win, he told reporters he didn't mean to offend anyone and regretted the act. He was then handed a five-game suspension that he must serve at the start of the 2018 season.

Darvish wasn't pleased with Gurriel's actions, but tweeted "no one is perfect," adding that he wanted to move on from the incident.

If the Dodgers win Tuesday, Darvish will likely start in Game 7.
